Amelia Josefina Gray Humanitarian Scholarship Fundraiser
- May 2017
Valley Dairy is happy to once again be a part of the Amelia Josefina Gray Humanitarian Scholarship Fundraiser.
For the month of May, Valley Dairy will have donation buckets at all nine locations to raise money for this scholarship fund.
Amelia Josefina Gray was a special young woman that attended Red River High School. In December of 2010, at the age of 16, Amelia was diagnosed with liver cancer.
By the time doctors had discovered the cancer, it was at stage 4.
Amelia fought hard against her cancer and was able to attend her Senior Prom, celebrate her 18th birthday, and graduate with her class.
Unfortunately after 682 days, she could fight no more.
Amelia's dream was to become a doctor or a nurse so that she could help others and give back for all of the help that she had received.
The Amelia Josefina Gray Humanitarian Scholarship has been put in place to honor her memory.
The money raised will be given to the GF Foundation for Education, and a $1,000 scholarship will be given to a high school senior attending UND to pursue a degree in the medical field.
Small change can make a big difference! We thank you all in advance for helping raise money for a worthwhile cause!
